LAFF Pathway Paddle & Pedal Festival is a fundraising event to extend the local non-motorized pathway that will connect the communities of Linden, Argentine Township, Fenton and Fenton Township! We are changing the event to a "Festival" to celebrate the construction of Phase 2 of the LAFF Pathway/State Bank Trail connecting Linden to Fenton along Silver Lake Rd starting THIS YEAR!!

Come on out Saturday, June 8 from 10:00am-8:00pm to downtown Linden for a family-friendly day of fun!   You do NOT have to sign up to attend the Festival!

Go for a paddle on the Shiawassee River or pedal on the completed Phase 1 of the LAFF Pathway. There will be Live Entertainment, Activities, Vendors, Workshops and Raffle Prize Baskets available at the Linden Amphitheatre Gazebo and Community Center (VFW Hall) located at 105 Mill St, Linden, MI 40451.  Visit the Linden Mills Museum open 12-5.  Food Trucks available to satisfy the appetite!  The grand finale of our festival day will be Old Days-A Chicago Tribute Band performing live on the gazebo at 6:00! Check them out at https://sites.google.com/view/olddayschicago

KAYAKING!  Feel free to bring your own kayak.  Don't have a kayak. No problem!  Shiawassee River Shuttle is our supporting company.  To book your kayak, call or text 810-206-2002 or email shiawasseerivershuttle@gmail.com Kayaks will be available to rent till 5:00 the day of the event but it is best to book ahead of time. The paddling route will have you go east up the Shiawassee to Tupper Lake or Lake Ponemah and then back.  It is approximately 4-5 miles round trip that will take you 1.5 - 2 hours.  You are welcome to turn around at any point.  A map and written directions of the recommended route will be available at the information table.  Down River trips available by request (limited quantity).

BIKING!  The pedaling route is about 10 miles.  Ride at your own pace as This Is Not A Race.    A map and written directions of the recommended route will be available at the information table.  Signs will also be posted to guide you along the way.  Ride Etiquette:  You will be sharing the trail with walkers, joggers and bikers.  It's basically like driving.  Ride on the right side of the trail. Pass slower traffic on the left and it is considerate to either ring your bell or say "On your left" to the walker, jogger or biker you are passing to alert them of your presence.

VENDORS!  A variety of vendors will be available in the Community Center for a fun shopping experience! Items from health, fitness, handmade crafts and unique gifts! Available from 10am-6pm

WORKSHOPS!  Ever wanted to learn how to change a bike tire or simple bike maintenance? Or how about kayak paddling techniques and safety tips on the water.  There will be trained biking and kayaking experts to learn from!  Available from 10am-6pm

RAFFLE PRIZES!  Raffle Prize Baskets will be located in the Community Center.  Purchase your raffle tickets at the information table.   The winners of the raffle prizes will be announced at 5:30 by DJ Toad at the Gazebo (need not be present to win, unclaimed prizes available for pick up at the SLPR Community Building in Fenton)
