Description
Movement is essential in order to have a healthy mind, healthy heart, and healthy body! Students throughout Michigan are staying active and moving in the Playmakers P.E. Challenge. The free 6-week challenge allows students, classes, and groups to record activities and monitor progress towards the goals they set. Activity categories include running/walking, rolling/movement, push-ups, sit-ups, planks, burpees, mountain climbers, and wall sits!
It is simple to get your school involved. Create a team and invite your students to join! Once students become team members, teachers can view student progress and help guide and motivate them through the challenge.
Register today! The first 6-week challenge starts September 21st but teams can register at any time before October 16th.
Activities in the Challenge
- Running/Walking
- Rolling (Biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, handcycles, wheelchairs, assistive mobility devices, etc.)
- Movement (team sports, yoga, Tai-Chi, dance, Pokémon Go, GeoCaching, etc.)
- Push ups
- Sit ups
- Planks
- Wall Sits
- Burpees
- Mountain Climbers
Participant Awards and Prizes
Every week, a participant from each level (elementary, middle, high school) will be awarded a prize. The participant will be notified via email and posted on social media.
The school with the most enthusiastic participation will win a virtual or on-site fitness celebration with the Playmakers event truck and team!
How to Create a Team
Create one as you register:
- Click Sign Up
- Enter your information
- Select "Yes" under the question "Would You like to join a Group/Team"
- From the pop-up select Create New Group/Team
- Select a Group/Team Type and type in a name
- Type in a Group/Team Name and a team password (optional)
- Click Continue
Create one after you register yourself:
- Log on to RunSignup under the account you registered for the Race.
- Navigate to Upcoming Events > Manage Registration.
- Click on the menu Group/Team (located on the left or top)
- Click on the tab "Create New Group/Team".
- Select a Group/Team Type and type in a name
- Type in a Group/Team Name and a team password (optional)
- Click Continue.
No Team...No Worries. Join Team P Kids!
If you don't have a team through your school, no problem! Make a team of your friends or neighbors. Or, join our team, Team P Kids!
