Your participation in this beloved event, as well as your donations to Lory’s Place, continues to assist the team in providing vital support to our hurting communities throughout Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. The financial support through Lory’s Place fundraisers, like Run Walk Rock, go a long way in ensuring safe spaces will be created for those who have experienced the death of someone significant. About Lory's Place:
Since the opening of Lory’s Place bereavement programs in 2004, we have been honored to support over 50,000 children and adults after the death of a significant person. Our programs reach beyond our facility doors offering over 60 peer support groups in Allegan, Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties.
About this Race:
This is the 20th anniversary of the Lory's Place Run, Walk and Rock to benefit Lory's Place, a Grief Healing and Education Center of Corewell Health South(formerly Spectrum Health Lakeland) affiliate. Every year, Lory’s Place is honored and grateful for the community’s support of Run Walk Rock. All of the programs and services at Lory’s Place are available at no charge. That means that no child or adult is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. The children, adults, and families who are part of Lory’s Place join us in expressing deepest gratitude to you for supporting our mission of grief healing.

Parking
When arriving at the event take Momany Drive and turn left on Upton, proceeding to any available Whirlpool lot. Please do not take Upton/Klock Road (at the stop light). Parking is located in the Whirlpool lot.
Rocking Chair Raffle
If you would like to win a signature white Rocking Chair, please place the tag at the bottom of your bib in one of the boxes on the registration tables. All ages are eligible to win a rocking chair.
Champions for Children Challenge
Students, teachers, staff, and administrators are invited to represent their school in either the 5K walk or run! The school that has the most participants will receive the “Champions for Children” traveling trophy and $500 from Boss Services. You must indicate the school and/or grade you’re representing on the registration form to count towards this participation award.
Group Discount
If you are registering a group of four or more participants, you will receive a $5.00 discount per registrant. If you have a large group of people, please give us a call for additional registration options.

2024 Lory's Place Run Walk Rock Course Map
Due to construction on Upton Drive we have changed our race-course for this year’s event.
Please see below for race-course directions:
1. Leave Lory's Place and head north on Upton Drive.
2. Turn left into the south end of Jean Klock Park and run/walk with the flow of traffic through the park
3. Exit the north end of Jean Klock Park and travel east on Grand Boulevard.
4. Turn right on Jean Drive and head south to Klock Road.
5. Turn left onto Edgewater Dune Parkway into the Edgewater Dunes neighborhood.
6. Turn left onto Summer Ridge Parkway.
7. Turn Right onto Dunewood.
8. Proceed straight to Dune Ridge South.
9. Turn Left onto Edgewater Dunes Parkway.
10. Turn left onto Upton Drive and proceed to the finish.
Dog's are allowed to participate, but we ask you please keep on leash and clean up after them.

Custom Lory's Place Run Walk Rock medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in the following age groups for male and female runners and walkers:

2024 Lory's Place Run Walk Rock Event T-Shirt
Guaranteed tri-blend long sleeved t-shirt for participants who register on or before April 19, 2024.
Note: There is no size exchange for t-shirts. If you do not pick up your t-shirt at early packet pick up (May 17) or race day (May 18) you are not guaranteed your shirt.
