Get off the pavement and come explore the Big Sky on this county road race on the Geyser Cutoff Road between Geraldine and Geyser, Montana. Explore the hidden treasures in your own back yard as you run through the hills and onto the prairie finishing the race on Main Street, Geraldine, Montana!!
Both races feature beautiful, Central Montana scenery! The 5K run/walk is a gradual descent into town featuring Square Butte and Round Butte mountains; whereas, the half marathon course will traverse the foothills between the Highwood Mountains and Round Butte as you make your way across the hills descending into town. Keep your eyes out - as you travel across the country look for wildlife including deer, antelope, elk, coyotes, cows and even snakes!

INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19: SEE DETAILS BELOW (these may change as the race gets closer - check back for details or contact us for more information)
Montana is currently open with minimal restrictions. Masking is still encouraged in most places. We will follow distancing guidelines and have specific measures in place to protect our participants and community as best as possible. Even last year with more stringent restrictions we were able to host our event running in groups of <50 participants per start time and so we are not anticipating any significant hindrances.
Per executive order by Governor Greg Gianforte:
GENERAL MASKING: Individual responsibility remains Montana's best tool to combat the spread of COVID-19. Montanans are encouraged to wear masks and should follow the best industry practices adopted by any business they visit to slow the spread of the virus.
PHASED REOPENING OF MONTANA: The phased approach to reopening Montana is no longer in force.
PUBLIC GATHERINGS: Any public gatherings or events should be managed in a way that accommodates the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) social distancing guidelines.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR OUR EVENT (subject to change):
We will provide a clean and sanitary event.
IF NEEDED* WE MAY HAVE WAVE STARTS: Runners will be assigned a designated start time and arrival time window. Waves will be divided up into 50 runners or less (we can place you with a running friend if you would like - just ask).
Bus transportation to the start: Masks are required to ride the bus as social distancing is difficult. If you would like to have a friend or family member drop you off at the start line that is also a possibility. We ask that you do not leave vehicles at the start line.
Bystanders: please maintain appropriate social distancing as able.
Award Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. Awards to the 1st and 2nd place finishers in Kid, Junior and Adult divisions for both the 5K and Half Marathon.
Cleanliness: Hand sanitizer will be placed strategically throughout the event with extra cleaning processes in place.
Please ensure that we have your correct mailing address at registration should we need to mail you a shirt or award.
