LOW KEY PURSUITS
May 1 – SEPTEMBER 1
A new take on the Beartooths.
What came about as a consolation prize to the 2020 race season is now a Red Lodge Events staple! Is your race calendar is filled with races and you need some training motivation. Or maybe, you're new to running and don't want to toe the line against anybody yet. Or maybe you want to enjoy time on the trails hiking with family and friends. Whatever your motivation, LOW KEY PURSUITS is a great option to get you moving and exploring our wild backyard.
Need a little extra motivation? New this year, we've attached a dollar amount to each trail at the end of season, we'll tally up the dollars for logged trails and donate that amount to friends at Beartooth Recreational trails Assocation!
What is LOW KEY PURSUITS?
It’s a mix between a local guidebook and virtual race. This year we’ve hand selected our favorite local routes and mixed it up a bit with looped routes and some shorter distances for family-friendly optinos. You run/hike/bike the routes -alone, with your dog, or with friends and submit your times. At the end of all this, we'll throw a shindig and announce winners for all sorts of categories like: fastest cumulative time, fastest times on individual routes, mid-packer, and a few more fun categories not connected to speed!
Routes to choose from:
- Willow Creek Trail
- Silver Run Loop 4
- Parkside Trail
- Palisades Trail
- Nichols Creek Trail
- Beartrack Trail
- Senia Creek
- Timberline Trail
- Quinnebaugh Meadows
- Basin Lakes Trail
- Mt Maurice Trail
- Lost Lake Trail
- Airport Loop Trail
- Nichol-back Loop
- Red Lodge Mountain Loop
- Connector Trail
