Registration is open for the 2026 Streaking in Sneakers - Vac & Dash Streaker Club Challenge 

Streakers Come From Here and There!  Streakers Come From Everywhere!  We had 14 states & Guam  represented in last year's Streaker Challenge.

The 2026 Streaking in Sneakers - Vac & Dash Streaker Club Challenge Starts January 1st! 

Run at least a mile a day each and every day in 2026 and earn a Streaking in Sneakers Sweatshirt or Cool Max Shirt and Medal!

To those that earn the Vac & Dash Streaker Club Sweatshirt and Medal, if you live outside of Stanly County in North Carolina, we will ship your Streaker Sweatshirt and Medal to you at no charge!  

The Vac & Dash Streakers Club was formed in 2016 to motivate runners to achieve their goal of running at least a mile a day, each and every day of the year. 

Throughout the year, you will receive motivation to keep you moving, including a chance to win prizes as long as you are still streaking.  At the end of the year, those that complete the challenge will earn a Vac & Dash Streaker Sweatshirt and Medal.

For extra motivation, you can form a team and ask your friends to join. Plus, for each friend that registers using your special link, you will earn a refund of $5.00 per runner.

Peter Asciutto, 8-Year Streaker and Original Owner of Vac & Dash, will be the challenge director.  The challenge is brought to by Uwharrie Dash.

Vac & Dash Streaker Challenge - Run at least a mile a day on each of the 365-Days in 2026.  

Want to be a Vac & Dash Streaker?  It's easy, all you have to do is run at least one mile each day during 2024 and you will become a member of the 8th Vac & Dash Streaker Club Team.  Anyone is eligible to participate.  

THE CHALLENGE

The rule is simple, RUN at least a mile a day, each and every day of 2026.  You can RUN on either the roads, a track, trails, or on a treadmill.

Please note that in this challenge, the mile does not have to be continuous. Use your judgement to make it work for you. 

Important Rules:  This is a running challenge.  POWER WALKING and WALKING does not count. You must RUN a mile each and every day of the year.  IF YOU MISS A DAY FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE OUT.

KEEPING TRACK 

Starting on January 1st, you must log at least one mile of running per day every day of the year, completing the mission on December 31st, 2026.  Please note, that walking, swimming or riding a bike does not apply toward the streak.  

At the end of each month you will enter the amount of consecutive days you ran on runsignup.  It's easy.

THE PRIZE

Those that run for 365 days, earn an awesome Vac & Dash Streaker Club Crew Neck Sweatshirt or Long Sleeve Cool Max shirt  &  Medal.

We have a special Vac & Dash Streaker Challenge Facebook page to help inspire you to streak on.  Runners from throughout the United States are welcome to participate in the Vac & Dash Streaker Challenge.

Key Dates:

3,000 Day Streak - March 19th, 2026 Class of 2018

2,500 Day Streak - November 4th, 2026 - Class of 2020

2,000 Day Streak - June 22nd, 2026 - Class of 2021

1,500 Day Streak -February 8, 2026 - Class of 2022

Forrest Gump Day March 14, 2026- 3 years, 2 months 14 days - Class of 2023

1,000 Day Streak -September 26, 2026 - Class of 2024

500 Day Streak - May 14th, 2025 - Class of 2025

Last one Standing from the Class of 2016- Lisa Fowler Day  - September 14th, 2023 Thursday (Class of 2017)  Lisa Fowler was the last remaining streaker in the Class of 2016. Her streak ended at 2,448 Days.
