Description

Join Together We Stand NC and Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte in commemorating the death of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was murdered while out on a run in Brunswick, GA on February 23rd, 2019. This run/walk will be held to honor his memory and encourage our participants and greater community to speak about the senseless violence against Black communities in America.

From February 19-26, 2022, Together We Stand will again host the Maud 2.23 event to shine a spotlight on racism and injustice and to unite toward hope in the future.

The 2022 Maud 2.23 is presented by HOKA, CEP Compression, Fleet Feet Sports, Together We Stand NC, Omega Sports, and LockLaces.

GOTR discounted registration is $20 and includes a Maud 2.23 LS shirt. All registered runners/walkers also receive a chance to win prizes including free running shoes from HOKA, CEP Compression socks, and LockLaces.

Together We Stand NC has decided to funnel the donations from all Charlotte events and t-shirt sales to Running Works, a local charity in Charlotte. $8 of every registration will be donated to the charity.

When you register, you are committing to running or walking 2.23 miles during the week of February 20-26, 2022 and we encourage you to share your run/walk with your friends and family to engage in a conversation about race.

We invite you to join us for Maud 2.23 and we ask that you remember and honor Ahmaud Arbery as We Run as ONE.

Share on social media tagging @togetherwestandnc and using the hashtag #IRunWithMaud.
