Athena's Run for GYN Cancer 5K
Proud in the Crowd (Non Timed Runner/Walkers)
Athena's Run is a 5K to celebrate, honor and lift up the women affected by gynecologic cancers. We will increase public awareness about gynecologic cancers and raise funds to support education, advocacy, care and research. Our vision is to end gynecologic cancers through prevention, early detection and effective treatment.
Athena’s Run for Gynecologic Cancers was founded in 2010 in an effort to promote public awareness about these devastating cancers in the Piedmont Triad Region. Over the past ten years, Athena’s Run has raised nearly $500,000. Donations from this fund are currently being used locally and nationally to support education and advocacy for gynecologic cancers; care of women to prevent, detect and treat gynecologic cancers; and research efforts for gynecologic cancer care and cure.

The "Warriors for Wellness Expo" will take place alongside the 5K and continue until 12:00 PM, bringing our community together to celebrate survivors, uplift gynecologic cancer patients, and raise awareness. Attendees can explore a variety of community resources, connect with nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting those affected by gynecologic cancers, enjoy exciting giveaways and raffles, and shop from local vendors offering unique handmade items.
The expo will also feature DJ Chuck Marsh, making it a fun and meaningful event for the whole family. The Warriors for Wellness Expo is open to the general public!

All entrants who register by 8/13 will receive a custom race t-shirt!
*You must register by 8/13 to be guaranteed a t-shirt and one in your size. After this date, t-shirts will be first come first serve! Suvivor T-Shirts are reserved ONLY for Gyn cancer patients and survivors. If you enter a survivor t-shirt and you are not a survivor then it will be changed to a 5k t-shirt in your size if there is availability and if there is no availability then it will be changed to "no t-shirt".
All participants are responsible for packet pick up prior to the race . Any shirts not picked up by the end of the race will be available to day of participants on a first come first serve basis after the race.

Athena’s Run for GYN Cancers is not responsible for the amount or value loaded onto any gift card. All gift cards were generously donated by the business listed.

If you are a cancer survivor or patient we recommend checking in at the Athena's Run Suvivor tent to enter for the FREE cancer survivor raffles.
Regular raffle tickets will be sold until raffle time and will be $5 per ticket or $20 for 5 tickets. We accept cash, check or venmo.
