Lily Butler's legacy transcends her time at Providence Grove High School. An academic standout and a talented distance runner, Lily inspired her teammates with her passion and determination. Her character was marked by selflessness and humility, and she believed in the power of kindness and attentive listening. Lily's loving spirit touched everyone she encountered.

Tragically, Lily lost her battle with an eating disorder at the age of seventeen. In her honor, her family and friends established this annual run/walk event to raise awareness about the critical need for mental health support surrounding us today. The funds raised from this event directly contribute to The Oaks Therapeutic Community's mission, partnering with people to find worth & wellness, by providing mental health services to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Joining the "Run with Lily" is more than just participating in a one-day event; it's about fostering ongoing support and encouragement within our communities. In the 2025 edition, we invite you to form teams, train together, and inspire others in your offices, schools, churches, and communities to do the same! With the introduction of our virtual race in 2025, the possibilities are endless!

But that's not all! We're thrilled to announce our first annual Kids Superhero Run! Kids and adults alike can come in their superhero costumes and join us for a fun-filled morning of camaraderie and creativity. Lily would have been overjoyed to see participants of all ages embracing the spirit of unity and imagination.
