Description

Saturday 1st Race

November 8th 2025

Lake James State Park

Hike (?? Miles)- Bike (?? Miles) – Paddle (?? Miles)

NCARS will be back at Lake James State Park for this year's event. The lake and park are located at the edge of the Linville Gorge area of North Carolina

This will be our 6th year at this site, and we look forward to offering another great time in the great outdoors. As with all our races, we like to offer racers a little bit of everything. This race will be no different: bushwhacking O-course, single track mountain bike riding, and some scenic paddling. If you have participated in one of our races, then you know we like to challenge your limits yet keep it suited for every skill level by having all CPs as optional.

Back to our tried and true “choose your own adventure” style race with a simple loop course for each discipline. Allowing you to visit a TA after each event to resupply.

Teams of 1-4 will trek by foot through the state park, MTB on the trails and paddle on the lake. The objective of the race is to gather a punch from as many Check Points (unmanned flags in the woods) within the allotted 10 hours. The team with the most points in the least amount of time wins.

Make it back to the finish for post-race food and drinks.

Racers will also have the option to register (separately) for an overnight race following the completion of this event. Take a short break and head back out into the wild for a night of excitement.
