About El Caldito

Since 1984, El Caldito Soup Kitchen has served over 3+ million meals to the Las Cruces community. El Caldito's journey began at St. Andrews Church, offering a simple yet significant service: lunch sandwiches, available one day a week. This initiative was a collaborative effort by volunteer groups from St. Andrews, St. Paul's, Holy Cross, and the Jewish Temple. Today, El Caldito Soup Kitchen has grown significantly and serves 300-500 daily meals to individuals, families, and students. At El Caldito, we believe that access to food is a fundamental human right, our refuge provides nourishing meals to those in need. 
September is hunger action awareness month. Join El Caldito's fight to end hunger in our community.

About Souper Dash

The 2nd Annual Souper Dash will be on Sunday, September 20th,2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at La Llorona Park South Trail at 3440 W Picacho Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88007.This annual fundraiser is a great way to support your local food rescue during hunger action month and run for a cause.

Race Details:

• Registration - registration is accepted until  8:45 am on race day. Please visit the registration booth.
• Race check in - Already registered? Check into the race via runsignup.com using your mobile device. 
• Race start time -5 K (3.1 Mi) begins at 9:00 am and 1 mile to begin after. 
• Visit our vendors - 9:00 am to 11:00 am for resources and giveaways!
• Awards - Participant medals until supplies last, additional medals for the top finishers (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) for men and women age groups
