Race Monitor High Priority

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

This position is responsible for assisting with traffic control, ensuring race
participants to stay on designated routes. The race is an open course.
Encourage runners to steer clear of traffic. The Event Director will provide
race monitors with stop & go signs.
○ Example:
■ Signal drivers “STOP” or “GO” to allow race participants to pass
safely.
■ Remind runners to stay on course and do not take shortcuts.
■ Remind runners to run with traffic, not against.
■ Remind runners to use sidewalks/bike lanes when necessary.

HYDRATION STATION / CHECKPOINTS Medium Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position is responsible for mandating hydration stations, distributing
water bottles to runners and collecting empty bottles/trash. Hydration
station helpers can park their vehicles near their designated stations and
bring a lawn chair if needed.
○ Example:
■ Pass out water bottles to runners.

FINISHLINE GREETER Medium Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position is responsible for celebrating and cheering on runners who
pass the finish line, and distribute medals. Distribute one medal per
participant.
○ Example:
■ Congratulate participants; “Way to go! You did it!”
■ Hand medal to participant.

SNACK DISTRIBUTION Medium Priority

This position is responsible for distributing snacks and refreshments to
race participants post-race.
○ Example:
■ Pass out drinks and snacks to race finishers.

This position is responsible for El Caldito
with race check in and packet pickup.
○ Example:
■ Help with distributing race packets and t-shirt
assignments to registered participants.
