Lightning Warriors Youth Triathlon Clinic for Elementary to High School

This clinic will be a review of what to expect at your next triathlon.  Your 7 to 17 year old will experience a basic triathlon with a swim experience! 

***Please note that your child must be able to swim across the pool which is 50 meters long

Where:

• Nassau Aquatic Center, Merrick Avenue, East Meadow, NY

Schedule:

• 7:50am Meet Up Outdoors Across iFly Trapeze left side of the Handicapped Parking
• 8:00 Review the bike mount and dismount areas
  • Then walk in to the classroom
• 8:10am Classroom with Mock Triathlon
• 9:00am Swim Session
• 9:45am Answer more questions
• 10:00am End

What to Bring:

• Swim: Swimsuit, Swim Cap, towel and Goggles (We have extra swim caps)
  • Wear Swimsuit Under Your Clothing so that we can get into the pool right away
• Bike Helmet:
  • Please adjust the helmet straps to be snug around the chin prior to the clinic
• Run:
  • Running Shoes in good condition
• Small Kitchen Towel for Transition 
• Water and Water Bottle
• Race Belt (Race Belts will be available to purchase should you not have one)
• ***No Bike Needed for this Clinic***

What to Wear? Wear your swimsuit under your clothes before you arrive.  Note that you will be able to do the entire race with in your swimsuit, you will not need to wear a shirt. Swim Shoes and Socks Are optional.

What to Expect?  A simulation a simple transition and do a pool swim.  Be prepared to take off your running shoes and socks!   Then get ready to swim.

Helmet Rule: Please wear your helmet whenever you are moving your bike, pushing and definitely, while riding.
