Race Details    

Race Date: Saturday, April 9, 2016

Start: 9 a.m.at Honeoye Central School. Before the race, runners will be led to the starting line.

Two-Person Relay:

  • Teams can be male, female, or mixed. 
  • The first leg of the relay will start with the full-distance runners at the school at 9 a.m. and cover the first 8-9ish miles of course.
  • The second leg of the relay begins near the south end of Honeoye Lake. This is also the Walkers Only start line.
  • Complimentary busses** will depart from HCS beginning at 8:15a.m. to take the second-leg runners to the transition. Busses** will be available for first-leg runners to return to the finish line after completing their half of the race.
  • Relay runners should give their gear bag to their teammate at the transition.

Three-Person Relay:

  • Teams can be male, female, or mixed.
  • Relay legs are  approximately 5.5 miles,  7.5 miles, and  5 miles.
  • Complimentary busses** will begin moving relay runners into position at 8:15 a.m.  Busses** will be available at all exchange areas so runners can return to the finish line after completing their portion of the race.
  • Relay runners should give their gear bag to their teammate at the transition

Walk Course: 

  • The race starts near the south end of Honeoye Lake, and heads North on East Lake Road back to Honeoye Central School.  Walkers will complete half a loop of Honeoye Lake Lake on paved roadways. The entire route is rolling hills.

Packet Pickup:

  • Friday, April 8, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Honeoye Central School lobby (parking lot off of Allen's Hill Rd)
  • Saturday, April 9, 6:45-8:15 a.m. at Honeoye Central School
  • Waivers MUST be signed at check -in/packet pick-up.

On-Course Amenities: 

  • Gatorade/water will be available at aid stations on the course–roughly every 2 miles. If you feel you will need more water/nutrition than this, please carry your own on the course. The finish area has water, and post race food.

Parking:

  • Ample parking will be available at the Honeoye Central School.
  • For race viewing, parking will also be available at Sandy Bottom Park (mile 1) and Honeoye Lake State Marine Park (mile 13).

Accommodations:

  • You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenges of your race.
  • Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • No transfers after 4/1/16...PLEASE.
  • A parent’s signature is required for all participants under 18 years old.
  • Bib and/or bracelet is required to participate and must be visible at all times.
  • Dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, bikes, baby-joggers and BANDITS will not be allowed on the course.
  • For safety reasons, we strongly recommend against the use of iPods, MP3 players or headphones of any type.
  • All runners must stay to the side of the road for safety.
  • Time to complete this race will be 4.5 hours. After 1:30 p.m. there will be no services on the course.
