Advocates remains dedicated to safeguarding the health of our race participants, employees, supporters, and Advocates' families. Therefore, our Stroll and Roll 5K Run/Walk will be held as a virtual event! We invite you to participate in our Stroll & Roll Virtual 5K at your own pace during the week of October 3rd – 9th, 2020. You can join in the fun by strolling, rolling, or running a 5K (3.1 miles) safely at a location of your choice anytime during the week of October 3 through 9, 2020. This virtual 5K can be completed all at once or in several different walks!
Race participants will receive a customized t-shirt, sunglasses, sunscreen, and much more. Packets will be mailed to each participant before October 3rd. Receive an Advocates' cooler by referring 10 racers! In addition, Advocates will be hosting an on-line auction on Advocates' Facebook page from October 3rd through the 9th.
All proceeds will benefit children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Central New York. Fee: Adults $25; Children under 8 free. Additional t-shirts are $20 (includes tax).
Please note, a portion of the proceeds will support a new initiative for people with developmental disabilities by providing occupational and leadership skills training and expansion of workforce development opportunities offered in an inclusive setting.
