9 a.m. (race-day registration opens at 7:45 a.m.)…. Sixth Annual Wenzel Memorial 5K
East Gym
This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel ’91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus. The 5K is open to all. Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at Binghamton who competed on the men’s varsity swimming and diving team. He was killed in a car accident in July 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director of operations. Race check-in and on-site registration will take place at the East Gym. The run/walk will start and end at the East Gym on Recreation drive.
T shirts for participants who register on-line by 9/14/26 at 12:00PM. T shirts available on race day - first come first serve - no guarantee. . First 50 finishers receive participation medal . Timing will be kept and available on-line post race .
Race-day registration at the East Gym will start at 745 AM and close at 845AM. The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Exact change only. Entrants must be 13 years or older. Students enter coupon code STUDENTWENZEL26 on payment screen . SOM students , please contact SOM directly for discount code. You will be asked your school name in the registration questions .
