WE ARE BRINGING BREWFEST TO YOU! With the recent news of Brewfest cancellations across the country, there is a hole in the beer industry that our community looks forward to every year. By COVID-19 restricting mass gatherings, traditional Brewfest models have been postponed. Drink Like a Girl is here to salvage the celebrations and community engagement with both in-person and virtual camaraderie!
BE THE FIRST TO TRY THIS BREW! This initiative assembled 15 of the best craft breweries in the Finger Lakes and the Tristate area; offering up their version of the nationwide collaboration beer, the Curtain Up beer. Receive a 15 pack of the soon to be hunted brew with added goodies! Take this bad boy home and host your own Brewfest in your backyard while tasting with brewers, enjoying live performances, talk with industry guests, and so much more on March 27th!
*A portion of the event's proceeds, and all direct event donations, will go to The Capitol Theatre and the two winners of “The Battle of the Brewery's Best".
*All beer is purchased directly from the breweries to support the craft beer industry.
IMPORTANT:
If ticket sales surpass 300, you may receive two of the same brewery style, or new breweries will be added to complete your 15 pack.

1. Purchase a DLG X Curtain Up ticket:
A. Select your desired Pick-Up day/time slot.
*This will ensure social distancing and reduce traffic congestion.
B. Get your Pack shipped to your front door.
*NYS nonresidents- check your eligibility, click here-> "SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS"
2. Pick-up your pack on your scheduled Pick-Up day to build YOUR PACK OUTSIDE. Please bring the following:
A. Your print ticket
B. Your ID
C. A mask
*Curbside pick-up is available.
3. Take home your DLG X Curtain Up Pack!! (On March 24th, 25th, or 26th):
A. Enjoy your pack with family and friends virtually from the safety of your backyard! Participate in virtual events including tasting with some of the brewers themselves, live performances, speak with influencers, and more on March 27th!

THE BATTLE OF THE BREWERY'S BEST
"The Battle of the Brewery's Best" is pretty simple. Talented musicians will compete via live stream by playing 2-3 songs between March 1st and March 16th. The two musicians with the highest number of votes will take home a portion of the direct event donations of the DLG x Curtain Up Backyard Brewfest.
The donation is already up to $250 per musician! The winning musicians only have to play 6 songs each in total!

HOW IT WORKS...
1. Ticket holders and/ or donors of at least $20, will gain access to the private group via a link sent to their email.
2. Participating musicians will go live during the first two weeks in March playing 2-3 songs in the private group to show off their talents leading up to the DLG X Curtain Up event at their scheduled time.
3. Ticket holders and donors will then vote for their favorite musicians on March 16th @ 7:30pm
4. The two winning musicians will return at 8:00pm on March 16th to play an encore song for the voters.
5. Then, on March 27th @ 3:10pm, the winners will come back for 1-2 more songs to kick-off the official DLG X Curtain Up event!

Starving Musician (n.) - An artist who sacrifices material well-being in order to focus on their music. They typically live on minimum expenses, either for a lack of business or because all their disposable income goes toward their craft.
We created the "The Battle of the Brewery's Best" to show some love to these people, to these live performers. The ones that used to jam for hours while we sipped on a cold one at our favorite brewery. Not only did they become the highlight of our week, they became part of our family.
Many of these musicians may never go back to playing full-time, ever again. Whenever breweries do come back in full force, there will be so many available artists that the gigs will be spread thin, too thin to put food on the table for some. It took years of their lives to get where they were, only for it all to be taken away in 10 months.
We know we can't do a lot to help, but with your help, we can do a little.
