For anyone who lives to race, as we do, 2020 has been one disappointment after another. Unfortunately, as long as Pennsylvania is under COVID-19 mitigation efforts, permits are being held by the state. With no end in sight and no guarantee that we will have permits by race day, we have made the tough decision to CANCEL the Redemption Triathlon. Please refer to the end of this email for your refund options.
BUT triathletes aren’t quitters. And virtual races just aren’t our style. So don’t let us stop you from commemorating the race with an unsupported group event. Bike, run, and/or swim to your heart’s content at the gorgeous Gifford Pinchot State Park. Enjoy its trails and swim areas solo, with friends, or with fellow athletes on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Afterward, join us at 2:00 p.m. in Harrisburg (address included with confirmation email) with Utopian Events owners, Terra and Nikos Phelps, to turn our racing sorrows into joys as we celebrate 44 years of Chris Kaag, Founder and CEO of the IM ABLE Foundation, US Marine Corps Veteran, Adaptive Athlete and relentless Advocate for the Adaptive Community. It’s his birthday weekend, so we are throwing a “KAAG PARTY”!
You can register for the Kaag Party at this link: https://imablefoundation.org/home/redemptionkaagparty/
