Day Of Information
Welcome Walk Schedule:
Saturday Oct. 19th
7:30am-8:15am : Check-In at Tent In Front of Boathouse Pavilion (collect t-shirt/drop donations)
8:15am : Welcome Talk
8:30am : Walk Starts! (You may run if you wish!)
10:00am-10:15am : Leave Check-In Area / End of Walk Location
Please Note The Walk Starts Promptly At 8:30am
This is our first Welcome Walk (thank you for being part of this special moment!) and we appreciate your patience as we learn how to work with the city for event planning! We were informed that we must have walkers start on the trail at 8:30AM sharp, not 9:00am. If you are running late, it is ok! You can pick from the following options:
- Check-in at the tent and power walk/run to the larger group
- Find the group walking on the trail and check-in on the go with an APH volunteer (they will have a clip board walking on the trail)
- If you have supplies to donate, you can drop those off at the check-in tent during and after the walk!
Location Information:
Parking & Directions:
During check-in, there will be multiple volunteers with Welcome Walk T-Shirts to guide you. If you need additional assistance finding us, please email contact@asylumpridehouse.org and we will respond immediately!
Parking is available throughout FDR Park, but the closest parking lots are located directly north of the Boathouse Pavilion. If these spaces fill up, please refer to the directions linked below for additional parking options in and around the park.
Septa Broad Street Line - NGR Station goes directly to the park as well. If you are taking Septa, please plan for time to walk from the station to our check-in location!

Additional Reminders:
Because our Welcome Walk 2024 is a smaller but mighty crew, we will not have road closures within FDR Park. Please be aware and do not walk in areas where people are driving to and from other parking lot locations around the park.
FDR Park has multiple events happening in and around the area after our Welcome Walk (Like the Southeast Asian Market!). You can spend as much time as you want in the park after our Welcome Walk, but you will be unable to stay congregated at our check-in location after 10:15am.
If you have any additional question from now until the walk, please send us an email!
