The Lake is Calling

The Lake Wilhelm Marathon & Half Marathon takes place along the stunning shores of one of Pennsylvania’s largest lakes! Known for its Bald Eagle viewing, expansive lake views, and scenic bike path, Maurice K. Goddard State Park is a must visit destination! The Marathon course is USATF Certified and a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Window Start:

All participants will have the option to start their race at any point from 6:45 am to 7:15 am. All results will be based on gun time.

Restrooms & Aid Stations:

Portable restrooms will be placed near the start/finish area and along the course.
Aid Stations with water, sports drink, food and first aid kits will be available along the course.

Race Parking will be available near the Start/Finish area at the Lake Wilhelm Marina.

Awards:

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Open & Masters Finishers as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. The minimum age for the marathon is 15 and the minimum for the half is 13.

Race Day:

Available from 5:30 AM to 7:15 AM at the Start/Finish Area.

Opening: $45 (January 4 - January 10)

Early: $75 (January 11 – January 31)

Regular: $100 (February 1 – April 30)

Late: $125 (May 1 – June 10)

Half Marathon

Opening: $45 (January 4 - January 10)

Early: $65 (January 11 – January 31)

Regular: $85 (February 1 – April 30)

Late: $115 (May 1 – June 10)

Course Map

The half marathon is just the first loop around the lake. It does include the small loop and does not include the short out and back at the southern end of the park. The course time limit is 6.5 hours for the Marathon (14:52 min/mile) and 5.5 hours for the Half Marathon (25:11 min/mile). The marathon course is USATF certified and therefore an eligible Boston Qualifying Course.
