Spring 2020 GOTR 5K is canceled.
Within just a matter of weeks our world and our way of life have changed in ways we never could have imagined. Each of us is struggling to make sense of the impact of this pandemic on our own lives today and going forward.
At Girls on the Run - Chester County, we have been following the directives of the CDC and local government and health organizations in an effort to remain informed and intentional in our decision making. With the latest announcements by Governor Wolf closing schools for an additional week, along with the temporary closure of our affiliate, the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, we are heartbroken to announce that we have to CANCEL the Spring 2020 GOTR 5K.

Description
The Chester County Girls on the Run 5K is unlike any other running event. It is a celebration of, and for, the girls who have completed the Girls on the Run curriculum, including lessons and activities focused on empowerment, building self-esteem, and living a joyful and healthy lifestyle. By the day of the 5K, their enthusiasm is so unbridled that they are running around before the race! Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair “happied” and "tattoos" on their faces, and gather with their teammates to hold hands as they head to the starting line. Our 5K is a non-competitive, family friendly event that will bring a smile to your face, and we are very excited to be returning to the runway at New Garden Airport this spring where the girls will start and finish on the runway!! You will be so glad you joined us for this incredible, unique, and inspiring event!
