Simpsonville Downtown Dash

The Downtown Dash is a series of 2-mile twilight runs in downtown Simpsonville, S.C.
The dates for the races are:
Race #1 - Thursday, July 22 at 7:30pm
Race #2 - Thursday, August 19 at 7:30pm
The make-up date for any event that is rained out will be Friday, August 20 at 7:30pm

2 MILE COURSE

THIS EVENT WILL BE RUN ON THE "MAIN STREET TRAIL" IN DOWNTOWN SIMPSONVILLE, SC.
THE COURSE IS AN OUT AND BACK ON THE TRAIL.
THE RACE STARTS AT THE ICE CREAM STATION ON MAIN STREET AND FINISHES IN THE POCKET PARK ACROSS FROM THE WAREHOUSE AT VAUGHN'S.

SCORING

THE DOWNTOWN DASH IS A 2-RACE SERIES. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR SERIES AWARDS, YOU MUST RUN BOTH RACES. YOU ARE WELCOME TO RUN ONE RACE OR THE OTHER, AND WE WILL POST AGE GROUP WINNERS FOR EACH RACE. HOWEVER, THE SERIES AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT AT RACE #2 AND YOU MUST COMPETE IN BOTH RACES TO PLACE IN THE SERIES AWARDS.

GIVEAWAYS

THE FIRST 200 PARTICIPANTS TO SIGN UP FOR BOTH RACES WILL RECEIVE A BLACK 100% COTTON T-SHIRT EMBLAZONED WITH THE DISTINCTIVE "DOWN TOWN DASH" LOGO IN ORANGE AND WHITE LETTERING. PARTICIPANTS AT ALL RACES WILL RECEIVE A SOUVENIR FINISHER BUTTON WITH A LABEL ON THE BACK FOR RECORDING YOUR FINISH TIME.

Post -Race Cool Down at Vaughn's

Participants of the Down Town Dash are invited to the Warehouse at Vaughn's for post-race renourishment. The Warehouse at Vaughn's offers a wide selection of food and beverages, and has a huge outdoor "play area" for the kids. Come on over to Vaughn's after the race!
