GTC South Carolina Open and Masters Track Classic -Eastside High School, 1300 Brushy Creek Rd., Taylors, SC . Rubberized asphalt track.
Vertical and Horizontal jump runways, approaches and aprons are rubberized asphalt. If you arrive at the meet, but find the surfaces not to your liking for safety reasons, you will be responsible for deciding whether or not to participate in that event prior to the first jump. If that is the case, you will be offered a refund of your entry fee for that event only. The refund will not include the original Run Signup processing fee.
The javelin approach and runway are grass and generally very well maintained. If wet the grass could be slippery and or muddy so athletes should wear appropriate footwear. Except in very unusual circumstances, there will be no refunds if any athlete elects not to participate.
The Open division will be for athletes 18 - 29 years of age. Masters will be in 5 year age groups.
Athletes under 18 years may be permitted to compete only in unusual circumstances and if an exception is granted by the meet directors. This will initially consist of a polite request by the under age athlete using their own email address. Following approval by the meet director, the parent or legal guardian will be permitted to sign up for the underage athlete. Both athlete and parent/guardian must understand that entry into the meet is a favor granted by the meet director(s).
