Run The Tweetsie 5K/10K

RunTheTweetsie 5K and 10K is part of the Meet the Mountains Outdoor Festival this year. Come run the 5K or 10K and then head over to Founders Park to join in the Meet the Mountains Outdoor Festival fun!! 

The 10K will start at 8 AM and the 5K will start at 8:10 AM. Come run, hike, or walk with us as there is a generous 2.5 hour time limit. The goal of RTT 5K/10K is to provide an event where everyone can enjoy the Tweetsie Trail. 

Hoka Footwear will be on-site during the event at the Tweetsie Trail offering shoe demos. You will be able to try on Hoka running shoes and experience the difference for yourself. 

All finishers of either event will receive a finisher's medal.

The Tweetsie Trail will be an open course, so be courteous to other users of the trail. Please be aware of bikes, animals and non-race runners and walkers. Earbuds and strollers are allowed during the race, but are discouraged due to the open course. 

All runners must be finished by 10:30AM. 

***All RunTheTweetsie participants and volunteers must park across the street in parking lot adjacent to Cardinal Park designated for the Tweetsie Trail or in the public parking lot located across from the Legion Street pool, at the corner of State of Franklin and Legion Street. All parking areas are within 0.1-0.2 miles of the starting line. It is imperative that the Alabama Street parking area be left open for cyclists, runners, and walkers who also want to enjoy the trail.****

PACKET PICK-UP:  Friday, Aug 24th 6PM-9PM at the Meet the Mountains Festival in Founders Park, Johnson City, TN.  Come to the Dancing Donkey Racing Booth to pick up your bib, timing chip and t-shirt.  While you are at there, check out all the other awesome events and activities happening! There will be a race day packet pick-up from 6:30AM-7:30AM at the Tweetsie Trailhead at Alabama Street (Race Start line).  

Race Day Registration will be available Saturday morning from 6:30AM-7:30AM ONLY IF RACE IS NOT AT CAPACITY OF  RUNNERS.       

Cash only for race day registrations!! No t-shirts are guaranteed after Aug 10.  

Awards:

All finishers will receive a Finisher's Medal. 

Top 3 Male Overall Awards in the 5K and 10K

Top 3 Female Overall Awards in the 5K and 10K

Top 3 Male and Female in Each 10 Year Age Group for 5K and 10K

Race t-shirts are only guaranteed to participants registered by August 10, 2018. So register early!!
