2024 Turkey Trot - VOLUNTEERING!

Thank you for helping with our Sea Rim Striders' big fundraiser for the year!
WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED via pre-registration signup, for EACH participant, volunteer, and sponsor who will be attending.

Minors under 16 cannot sign up for on-course volunteering, or be brought on course.

Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled volunteering, for instructions and to pick up your wristbands.
All volunteers will receive (1) 2024 Turkey Trot shirt for strictly volunteering (if you're running in the event, you already get a shirt)

  • All Volunteers will receive a wristband and must wear it for the duration of the event, while you are at race site.
  • Volunteers must be at least 16, and with parent consent/waiver signed.  
  • All ON COURSE volunteers must be 18+
  • All bike marshal volunteers will bring/wear safety gear including helmet, and will pick up mesh volunteer vest, hydration pack, and 1st aid pack, before heading out
  • Be cautious and alert for runners/walkers on course and do not step onto the live course unless the way is clear or you're going to assist a runner that is down. 
  • Wear proper shoes, cold-weather clothes, and sun protection.
  • No pets at our events - only Service animals
  • EMS will be on standby and will be stationed by the start/finish line.  Let us know ASAP if you - or a runner - is not feeling well, or need basic 1st aid.
  • Keep up with the latest information on the Turkey Trot Facebook Event.  This is where all updates regarding the event, are posted.

  • There is a portable toilet on course on Main St. near the hydration stations.  4 portable toilets at the start/finish, and restrooms available inside the Event Centre. Each location has an ADA compliant toilet
  • Be sure you receive the email confirmation from signing up.  You should receive an automatic email within 5 minutes.
  • We will communicate instruction via email with the email address provided on signup.  Please check to be sure that email address on your profile is still valid!
  • The use of headphones/earphones is unsafe, and Sea Rim Striders actively highly discourages their use.  Runners and volunteers need to stay alert at all times, especially on course.
  • Check your emails in the days leading up to the event, for any last-minute instructions.  
  • If you are representing a GROUP, please wear your logo'd shirts/attire to promote yourselves!
  • Send any photos you take at this event - runners and/or volunteering - if you'd like us to include them in the final SRS pictures postings for the event -  SRSclub.TurkeyTrot@gmail.com by the end of Thanksgiving day. 
  • WE ARE ACTIVELY SEEKING PHOTOGRAPHERS!  Please share!  Volunteer basis preferred, but if a Photography company, we can discuss compensation or sponsorship.
