SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER - Kids 2K and 5K Race by Northside Running

Don't miss this Summer KickOff Race for Kids, brought to you by Northside Running Kids Series! Then, enjoy the rest of the day with your family at Big Rivers Water Park following the race. The race starts at 8am and is run on the grounds of the 45-acre waterpark.  This is a USATF Sanctioned timed race, with awards.   Bring the whole family and enjoy the day.  This is not just a water park, enjoy other activities such as fishing, petting zoo, axe throwing, mystic forest maze, ziplining, gator show, archery,  and rock climbing.  The park has locker rentals, and changing areas.  No outside food or drink is allowed inside the park.  

A portion of the proceeds from this race will go to benefit Girls On The Run. This organization inspires girls to be healthy and confident using a fun experienced-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.  GOTR is celebrating their 20 year anniversary.  https://www.gotrgreaterhouston.org/

*Note: For safety, children 12 and under and their parent or guardian will be required to wear a matching wrist band.  The parent or guardian will meet their child at the finish line holding area and released after wrist bands are checked.   Parents are encouraged to run with their children.
