Description

Welcome to the registration page for the 20th Team AIMS Marathon Training Program (MTP). The Marathon is the ultimate road race. And the Marathon training journey is the ultimate running experience. Are you wondering about marathon and it's long distance? Maybe it’s always been on your bucket list. Maybe all your friends are signing up. But more important than why you’re running your marathon is how you’re going to prepare. Solid prep is the only route to an enjoyable, injury-free marathon debut. Luckily, we have the perfect guide to get you across the line – no matter your level right now. The training program is a beginner friendly and designed to help you train whether you're a runner/walker attempting your first endurance event or aiming for a new PR. In Team AIMS, we think sharing the training journey with friends working to achieve a common goal is the best part and makes every run more fun! We'll help you achieve your goal safely by a gradual and strategic increase in your training mileage. We give instructions on proper hydration, nutrition, injury prevention, running form, training principles, as well as other areas to help you have a successful race. We have over 15 experienced RRCA Certified Endurance Coaches who will support you and keep you motivated!

If the full marathon may seem too much for you for now, see our half-marathon or 10-miler training programs for getting you prepared for the smaller distances, after which, you may want to pick up your marathon training later. Again, it is the running experience & lifestyle than just one event.

Train with AIMS

What does this mean? A supportive, fun, and diverse group and a pack of coaches to keep you motivated. The program benefits include,

  • Access to a hand crafted, beginner friendly, 26-Week training plan for your target distance.
  • Direct access to RRCA Certified endurance & speed coaches for questions and answers.
  • Coached Saturday morning group runs. Local runs on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Aid station support on weekend group runs with water, gatorade, other nutrition & snacks.
  • Motivational and educational materials provided by coaches and peers
  • Technical running T-Shirt
  • Access to private WhatsApp group & weekly coach calls for Q&A & discussions.
  • Volunteering opportunities for family members and school children for SSL hours during training runs and race weekends.

Our  26-week training program, with thrice/week group training will prepare you for the race, no matter what your experience level is. Our coaches will challenge you with an effective, smart training program and guide you each week. You’ll be part of a supportive community, have a ton of fun and get prepared for success at the marathon all at the same time. We believe that any healthy adult can complete a marathon with enough desire and commitment to train properly by following the program. You do not have to be a fast runner to participate in our program or complete a marathon. You can start from where you are now and build up towards your goal. We welcome beginners and veterans alike, so there is a spot for you!.

Prerequisites

Runners of all experience levels are welcome. However, we want to emphasize on considering your medical history and being cleared by your physician before joining this training program or event. If you ever had a medical condition that could get worsened by running, please do consult with your doctor first. Runners should be knowledgeable about the stress effects attendant to participation in running events. It is important for each entrant to recognize the potential physical and mental stresses, which may evolve from participation in these running events. We do not encourage in anyway to ignore health signs and participate in this program.

  1. Promote healthy lifestyle by introducing running and build a healthy community that motivates each other.

  • Women empowerment
  • Community development
  • Disaster recovery

We sincerely hope, your 6-month journey with this program will meet both the objectives. We are requesting all participants to fund raise a minimum of $500 per family (Through friends, employer match, social media and  Corporate social responsibility).
