Description

About This Activity

Please help us raise money to help the dogs and cats in our area by supporting the Animal Welfare League and Garfield’s Rescue. Volunteers in both organizations have been serving the animals of Lancaster, Northumberland, Westmoreland, and Richmond Counties. Please consider bringing dog and cat food to the Turkey Trot, using the gazebo as a drop-off location.

For over 48 years, AWL has had animals ready for adoption that have been neutered, given some training, and are waiting for a home of their own. Animal Welfare League is located at 75 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, Virginia 22482.

Garfield’s Rescue mission is to eliminate the suffering of homeless / community cats and kittens in the Northern Neck through humane rescue, robust spay / neuter / vaccination programs and a compassionate foster-to-adopt network through a network of private foster homes. Garfield’s Rescue can be contacted by email at garfieldsrescue@gmail.com; by phone at 804-480-2066 or by mail at P.O. Box 257, Kilmarnock VA 22482.

Donations of $20, $25, $30, $50 are greatly appreciated! No donation is too small and all will help provide a Thanksgiving meal for them. Remember, the Animal Welfare League and Garfield’s Rescue always have many great pets just waiting to love you.

The Animal Welfare League and Garfield’s Rescue are non-profit, tax-exempt organizations dedicated to the humane treatment and care of animals.
