Description
Join us for Ocean View's 2nd Annual Mermaid Festival on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm at Ocean View Beach Park.
All swim and 5K participants receive a swag bag, tee-shirt and finishers medal!
1 mile family fun run finishers receive a mermaid medallion!
Featuring 1 & 2 mile open water swims, **just added** 1 Mile 4-person relay, a 5K beach run, 1 mile free family fun run followed by the Mermaid Festival - filled with 15 local vendors, artists, & local talent plus a ticketed beer garden where you can sample more local Virginia breweries finest new brews! We will have live entertainment with DJ KO and Brandon Bower Band playing live this year!
In a partnership with Presenting Mermaid Majesty Sponsor Coastal Virginia Brewery Alliance, we are hosting OV's first craft beer festival! 20+ local breweries will showcase their best! This is a separate, ticketed event. Visit www.ovmermaidfest.com to purchase your ticket.
Whether you want to run, swim or enjoy a brew down the coastline, the annual Ocean View Mermaid Festival is the place to be!
The open water swims are a triangle loop. Participants will swim out and then around three sets buoys for the 1 mile and 2 mile races. Race swag included for all participants at packet pick up/concluding the event. Public parking available. This event has something for everyone from elite swimmers to beginners.
Proceeds benefit local non-profits and sports organizations in Hampton Roads. The 1 mile relay proceeds will benefit Special Olympics!

Open Water Swim Route: Triangle loop
5K Beach Run/Walk - 1.55 miles east down the beach & back, starting and finishing at Ocean View Beach Park. As this is a public beach, please be respective of others enjoying the beach on June 22nd.
1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk - All ages welcome. Free annual event! You will start and stop at the same area.
