Description
Join us for Ocean View's 2nd Annual Mermaid Festival on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm at Ocean View Beach Park.
Featuring 1 & 2 mile open water swims, a 5K beach run, 1 mile free family fun run followed by the Mermaid Festival - filled with local artisans and a ticketed brew festival featuring local breweries from all over Virginia. Whether you want to run, swim or enjoy a brew down the coastline, the annual Ocean View Mermaid Festival is the place to be! The open water swims are a triangle loop. Participants will swim out and then around three sets buoys for the 1 mile and 2 mile races. Race swag included for all participants at packet pick up/concluding the event. Easy parking available. This event has something for everyone from elite swimmers to beginners.
Proceeds benefit local non-profits and sports organizations in Hampton Roads.

Start and finish: 100 W Oceanview Ave. Norfolk, VA 23503
Open Water Swim Route: Triangle loop
5K Beach Run/Walk - 2.5 Miles & back, starting at OV Beach Park. You will head east 2.5 miles and turn around to finish.
1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk - All ages welcome. Free annual event!
