Community Day: Volunteer Portal

To celebrate back to school, the Live Red Foundation is partnering with STEP Richmond, Kinfolk Community Garden, and Shood to put on a Family Fun Community Day in Gilpin Court on Saturday, August 10 from 11am-3pm. STEP Richmond will be distributing 250 backpacks filled with school supplies, Shood will be distributing 500 pairs of sneakers, and Kinfolk will be planting their fall garden. Live Red will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers, distributing personal hygiene products, hosting a teen basketball tournament, teaching yoga classes, facilitating tug-of-war games, and offering several other fun activities like a slip-and-slide. We are thrilled to bring together incredible organizations to put on a day filled with fun in Gilpin Court. 

We need your help to make this happen. Please consider volunteering to help us make the day a success. Because the event is multi-faceted, we have a high demand for volunteers in many different roles. If you are able, we ask that you commit to either an hour of set-up or breakdown or the full 4 hours of the event.

The event will take place outside of the Calhoun Community Center in Gilpin Court in the parking lot, basketball courts, field, and garden. There will be street parking available outside the Center but please carpool as you are able.
