Description
The 3rd Annual "Feed A Veteran 5K" is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025. Watch this page for registration updates.
D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities. During the winter months, these veterans face extreme cold out in the elements and have no where to turn for support and a hot meal.
The Feed a Veteran 5K on Saturday, November 8, 2025 is a fun 3.1 mile road race on an enclosure golf car path of Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot food and winter survival kits for the homeless veterans in DC and provide suicide prevention programs for veterans.
What makes this race incredibly unique is that after the race, all participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to assemble sandwiches and soup that will be delivered to these homeless veterans the afternoon after the race! Additionally everyone will be able to pack winter survival kits (hygiene supples, gloves, socks, blankets, etc.) that USASOA delivers to these homeless veterans in the month of December.
This race will be professionally timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC

About Us
United Sailors and Soldiers of America (USAOA)
In accordance with our mission, USASOA continually strategizes to remain relevant to the changing needs of our veteran community at large. Thousands of veterans who once swore to defend this nation with their lives, now live on the very streets of that same wealthy nation. While accomplishments have and continue to be made by federal and state agencies and other nonprofit organizations, it takes a multifaceted approach combining both awareness and properly funded preventive programs to effectively respond to the challenges and issues facing veteran homelessness.
