Here are your 2023 results! If you used a timing chip, please click here to get your results. We're working on updating these numbers over the next few days, so please be patient with us! Also, we'll be sending out prizes to our top finishers who couldn't be there for our awards presentation.
Hey folks! Thanks for your patience in receiving results from the 2022 Loop the 'Lupe.
We're still working on refining these times, so please continue to check back in while we sort out more of these numbers. We'll work on mailing prizes to our top finishers by June 10th. Thanks again for participating, and if you'd like to help us finish off our fundraising goal for 2022, click here. Can't wait to see you next year (June 3, 2023) for Loop the 'Lupe!
We're BACK with Loop The ‘Lupe, Seattle's best 5K obstacle course fun run! This event will take place at Walt Hundley Playfield in West Seattle on Saturday, June 3rd. Here's what's in store for 2023:
The "Loop" is a 1K course looping Walt Hundley Playfield. On each lap (or "loop"), you'll face 7 different obstacles (NEW: 9 for our Elite Wave) including tires, walls, mud pits and more. All participants will complete the loop 5 times to complete their 5K race! We're still updating the course map, so check back for more details soon!
Check out our Loop the 'Lupe finisher medal, designed by Stride Awards, featuring a "mud"-spattered ribbon and a ROTATING foot logo, courtesy Susie Perry Designs! This award is for all finishers in all events (Obstacle Course, Fun Run, Senior Saunter and Youth Dash), and we think the updated 2023 design is awesome!
We have plenty of prizes for our winners! Prize decisions will be made by Loop the 'Lupe, and all decisions are final. Winners for in-person races will pick up prizes after results are tabulated on June 3rd at Walt Hundley Playfield. Virtual prize winners will be contacted via email. Here's what you're in the running for:
OBSTACLE COURSE/5K: We're gathering awards from terrific sponsors like West Seattle Runner, Whole Foods, Ounces Taproom, City Sweats, and more! Check back here for an update on this year's prize haul!
YOUTH DASH: We're working on some great prize packages for 2023, including gift certificates to Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, free classes at the Little Gym of West Seattle, a parents' night out from MyGym Bellevue & Kent, and more! What a bunch of great prizes for our mini-ninja warriors (and moms and dads)!
SENIOR SAUNTER: One of our top winners a glass float prize from Avalon Glassworks (similar to what you see below). And we're working on more prizes for our sauntering seniors, too, so check back in for details!
We're hoping everyone can join us IN PERSON this June. But if you'd rather participate virtually, create your own home obstacle course! To go virtual, simply register on the site, then email your request to be considered a virtual participant to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll contact you to get your your t-shirt. Then, post your video or photos on our Facebook page by June 3rd to win prizes from our sponsors! (Here's a great example, below.)

WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE GO TOWARDS?
Proceeds from Loop the 'Lupe go towards supporting the social outreach efforts of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in West Seattle. This includes efforts to help shut-ins and the elderly, a safe parking program for homeless people coordinated by the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, and work to help migrant workers in our state and their families. As you may have seen in recent news coverage, support for our churches and the programs they provide is needed more than ever! The amount of money we’re raising with Loop the Lupe is helping people of all ages and of all religious and non-religious backgrounds. We know it’s not just what you give–it’s where you give. Help us support a cause that’s directly focused on our local West Seattle community. Thank you!
