Description
This year’s Fest will have a 5k trail run on Saturday morning! Enjoy running the beautiful prairies of White Oak Savanna with amazing views of the Driftless area.
There will be three waves for the following categories:
Serious Fun: For folks looking to run at their top speed
Just Funny: For folks just looking for a fun morning jog
Band on the Run Fun: For groups of three or more. Participants of this wave must have instruments, must start and finish together, and must perform a song at the finish line to complete the race!
This is a FUN RUN, so no official times will be kept. However, there will be a judge at the finish line to declare a winner of each wave. Winners will receive a White Oak Festival T-shirt! All participants must register before participating.
Course Info
The course consists of rolling grass paths through the beautiful prairies of the White Oak Savanna sanctuary. There are some gentle hills but the course is great for those new to trail running or the experienced trail runner.
There will be a 2 mile short option available if you decide the 5K is too much. This option will be at the 1 Mile aid station.
There will be two aid station stops out on course with water. These will be at mile 1 and mile 2.
Check-In
Checkin will be at the Start/Finish area by the barn.
Checkin will be from 8:30am-8:55am on Saturday. There is no early checkin.
White Oak Festival
After the run, enjoy all the festivities of the White Oak Festival including yoga, music, food and drinks!
