Registration Opens June 1, 2021!

The MadCity Ultras race will be held in Madison Wisconsin USA on Saturday, September 25, 2021! This year the race will include two events: 50K Solo and 50K Relay.
Existing MadCity 50K Solo and 50K Relay teams are already registered for the September 25 race date. New registrants can sign-up as of June 1. Rates go up July 1!
Refund Policy
We are unable to provide refunds to runners who withdraw from the race.
Up to one week prior to race day (by 9/18/2021), a runner may offer to transfer their registration to another runner for the same race. Feel free to use our Facebook Event page to coordinate and communicate with other runners about transfers. Our committee is not able to coordinate transfers or payments for transfers between runners. Registered runners must contact the MadCity local organizing committee via the RunSignUp Race Page with the complete information regarding the transfer, including the contact information for the runner who will be competing in their place.

Description
The MadCity Ultras is a non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is recognized by the USATF as a trusted and dedicated group that has hosted the 100K National Championship race for the past 13 years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 100K National Championship was not held in 2020, and the 2021 100K event is postponed to 2022 due to timing. We are thrilled to be able to host the 50K Solo and 50K Relay events in 2021!

USATF Membership
Membership in the USATF is not required to enter the MadCity 100K and 50K Solo races. However USATF membership is required to be declared the USATF 100K National Champion (along with winning the race, of course!).

Course Information
The course is a USATF-certified 10K loop located along the shore of Lake Wingra adjacent to Madison's Vilas Park and winds through the beautiful UW Arboretum. Most of the course is open road with a three-block strech of newly-paved sidewalk.

The course will be open from the start of the 50K and 50K Relay at 8:00 AM for 6 hours until 2:00 PM. All runners must complete their race prior to the course closing time.
