The race will happens, in person, on a road course! There is a race cap so register early if you want to be guaranteed a spot.
Runners start across from Lac la Belle and head north on the isthmus between Fowler Lake and Lac la Belle. Turning west into the Village of Lac la Belle, the course hugs the lake before heading into the country side. The course returns to the Village of Lac la Belle again hugging the western side of the lake. Once runners reach Wisconsin Ave, it is a fast and flat sprint to the finish at City Beach on the lake.

Not ready for in person racing? Run it virtually using the RaceJoy app. Download the app and run the distance anywhere. Your results will automatically be uploaded and we will send you your shirt and medal. Please see the RaceJoy section below.
This is a wave start. Waves are comprised of 10 runners. We will have 10 rows of 10 cones, spaced 10’ apart. You can self-select which wave you would like to run in by standing next to a cone facing the start line. We suggest faster runners in the earlier waves, and request you do not self-select your wave until 6:50.
The announcer will release one wave every thirty seconds starting at 7:00am. Your time will not start until you cross the start line. We encourage each wave of runners to self-distance as you approach the start mats. Once the announcer releases the wave you should start running.
Passing While Racing
The road is 25 feet wide providing plenty of social spacing. Participants are asked to run single file, on the right side of the road & spaced 10 feet apart. When passing a slower participant, participants should shout “passing on your left”. The participant will pass, leave six feet, and then merge right.
Once you finish, we ask that you leave the race area. Please do not wait at the finish line for someone to finish.
Based on our current permits, face coverings are now required at events. Here is how it will work:
Anyone in the “Arena” is required to wear a face covering. The Arena is defined as anywhere other than on the race course. This includes registration, packet pickup, parking areas, finish line, start line, restrooms, beer line, medal line, anywhere near other people. If you are within 10’ of anyone, at any time, a face covering is required.
Once you are on course, face coverings do not need to be worn, provided you are at least 10 feet from another person. At the start, you are spaced 10’ from others - we strongly encourage you to keep that distance. If you need to pass, call out “on your left” and move as far left as you can. Once you have passed a runner and you are at least 10’ in front of them, move back to the right.
We encourage runners to consider using running buffs while running near others. Buffs are available on our merchandise website.
When you cross the finish line, please move outside of the arena for your cool down. Once your cool down is complete, a face covering is again required.
If we want to keep running in person events together (and we do!), it is imperative that we exceed our permit requirements. Waukesha County is one of the few places in America that is open to in person events. It is up to our running community to prove that we can hold events safely.
Because we cannot guarantee a 100% contact fee aid stations, there will not be any on course. We encourage runners to carry hydration with them. There will be bag drop areas for runners to leave hydration and nutrition supplies.
Overall Male & Female will receive plaques & flowers.
Top 3 male & female finishers in 5 year age groups will receive a custom medal. Eight miler and half marathon finishers receive a custom finisher medal.
Everyone who is registered by noon Wednesday August 19st will be guaranteed a custom dry wick gender specific shirt. After that, shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis. About tshirts.
