We know you worked hard all year training and racing, so what's one more distance event to a pro like you? Don't hang up your running shoes and head into hibernation mode quite yet. Come join us for one last chance at a 2021 PR! The Last Call 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon is the perfect opportunity for any runner to end the year on top. The race is back on the Glacial Drumlin Trail this year, and its super fast. So fast, its faster than flat! The Last Call 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon is part of the Chilly Willy Winter Run Series.
Parking is limited at the E.B. Shurts Building parking lot, but there is plenty of street parking within a short walking distance of the building.
The course is a flat and fast out and back on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. All runners will start at the E.B. Shurts Building in Waukesha and head west on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. 5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon Turnaround points will be clearly located on the course -- runners should turn at the turnaround point that corresponds to the distance they are running. The course crosses several roads and there will be police officers at those intersections to stop vehicle traffic (runners should still be mindful of potential traffic where the trail crosses roads).
There are four aid stations on the course (see course map). Aid stations are located at the following distances from the start/finish line: 1.25, 3, 4.4, and 6 miles. All runners, regardless of distance will pass corresponding aid stations on the way out and once again on the way back after the turnaround points. Aid stations will have water, sports drink, and energy gels.
Everyone who is registered by noon Saturday, November 20 will be guaranteed a custom gender specific dry-wick t-shirt. After that, shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis. About tshirts.
