Now in its 12th year, the Speedy Pd Race for Parkinson's Disease continues to be one of the most unique running events in the region. Speedy Pd benefits the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program and features a half-mile fun run, 5K, and 10K. Over the years, the event has evolved to meet the needs of our runners, Very Important People with Pd (VIPd's), and supporters. In an effort to keep everyone safe, our 2020 race will be held virtually. While things will look a lot different this year, we look forward to connecting with everyone online through social media, email, and video. Our planning committee is hard at work making sure this will be an event to remember!
Along with Speedy Pd, the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program has made changes to all programming to ensure the safety of participants. This does not mean things are slowing down! We have found that VIPd's and their care partners need opportunities for connection, support, and physical activity now more than ever. We are providing virtual exercise and voice classes, as well as support groups and consultations. We hope you will help us continue to provide these services for free by joining us for the first virtual Speedy Pd Race for Parkinson's Disease!
