About Us    The Creative Art League of Jessamine County, Inc (CAL) is an interactive community for established and   emerging artists directed toward enrichment of art appreciation in Jessamine County.

Mission    To enrich art appreciation in Jessamine County and provide established and emerging locals with an interactive art community.

History   The Creative Art League of Jessamine County, Inc. (CAL) grew from the shared passion of three women who believe that art can enrich and shape a community. From this passion came the idea for a group that would support local artists and encourage community art activities. CAL's mission is to provide a nurturing environment for the individual artist with an overall goal of enhancing the quality of life available to the residents of Jessamine County.

CAL's first public meeting was held in September 2012, and the momentum has been building since then. In addition to regular monthly meetings, CAL has sponsored art exhibits and community-wide events. CAL coordinates the annual Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce Christmas card contest among the art classes at the county's elementary, middle, and high schools. For two years, in partnership with Nicholasville Now, CAL members have worked with local business owners in decorating downtown Nicholasville's windows for the Winter Windows on Main project.
