We will be challenged in our ability to produce real time results for this event because of the different timing locations and the terrain between these points. Normally on multiple site events, we are able to stream our data from the remote locations to our server and then download the data files from the server to our scoring equipment. Our controllers use data sim cards from AT & T and the service from AT & T is spotty in the area around Matewan, WV, South Williamson, KY and Williamson, WV at best. In most cases, we will have to rely on data file transmission in batches utilizing wifi hotspots for internet connection. This will impact the time that it takes us to generate results.
This race offers a Double Half Marathon event. The participants in this event start at Food City at 7:00 AM to run the Blackberry Mountain Half Marathon which finishes in Matewan, WV. At Matewan, these participants will start the River Road Half Marathon which finishes in Williamson, WV. The results for the Double Half participants will be included in the results reports for the two individual half marathons.
The participants who are only running the River Road Half Marathon will start at Matewan, WV at 7:30 AM and finish in Williamson, WV. This will mean that many of the participants who are only running the River Road Half Marathon will finish their race about the time that the Double Half Marathon participants are starting their River Road Half Marathon in Matewan. Traditionally, we have some of the Double Half Marathon participants who place high enough in their age group to earn an award. In order to for us to post accurate results for the River Road Half Marathon, we will not post results for this event until 11:00 AM.
The following is our projected schedule of results post times for each event based on the information stated above:
5K start and finish in Williamson, WV 7:45 AM start time Start posting preliminary results at 8:05 AM
Marathon start at Food City in South Williamson, KY and finish in Williamson, WV 7:00 AM start time Start posting preliminary results at 10:30 AM
Blackberry Mountain Half Marathon start at Food City in South Williamson, KY and finish in Matewan, WV 7:00 AM start time Start posting preliminary results at 8:45 AM
River Road Half Marathon start in Matewan, WV and finish in Williamson, WV 7:30 AM to 9:45 AM start time Start posting preliminary results at 11:00 AM
We will post preliminary results on the RunSignUp registration site. The url to access preliminary results is https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/96543/IndividualResult
We will post complete results on our website. The url for our results page is: https://www.totalracesolutions.com/event-results
