Description

The Ward Warriors Challenge is a virtual race to help raise money to support the Ward Warriors, Tenley and Adley Ward!

The time frame for you to complete the race will be March 15th - March 31st.  You can run your registered distance any time in that two week time frame. Be sure to take photos and use the race hashtags: #wardwarriorschallenge #wardwarriors. Let’s spread the word, create awareness and show this family all of our support!
You will also have the option to create your own fundraising page after you register! Although 100% of the race fees will go directly to the Ward family, we wanted to give the opportunity to support this race to those who can't run. Some ideas for individual fundraising are to get pledges for the distance you’re running, have people donate based on your projected finish time or just spread the word and give those that can’t run the opportunity to donate to this great cause!

There will be a drive-thru packet pickup on Sunday March 14th from noon until 6pm at LaRue County High School.  For those of you who cannot make that packet pickup you can select the shipping option at registration. The SWAG that is included in with registration if you choose the SWAG option is a custom beanie with the Ward Warriors Challenge logo and an unique hand-painted finishers medal.  Remember, this event is designed to raise as much money as possible for these two warriors so shipping will be charged if you choose SWAG and can't pick up your packed on 3/14/2021.

The organization painting the medals, shipping the packets and staffing pick-up is Sunny's. Check them out and see the other great things these girls are doing!

For those of you who are unaware here is the backstory behind the Ward Warriors.  Two sisters who are battling the unthinkable together:

The Ward family went through the devastating diagnosis of their oldest daughter Tenley having Leukemia. She went through 19 months of treatment and then relapsed. Tenley has had a bone marrow transplant with many complications. After 5 months living three hours from home in Cincinnati to be close to the hospital, the Ward’s were finally set to go home. On the actual day they were scheduled to leave they got punched in the gut once more as they learned that their middle child, Adley, also has leukemia. Adley has been admitted at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and is beginning her treatment. The girls also have a 4 month old little sister named Caselyn. Both Karen and Justin are unable to work at this time. The family is renting a house in the Cincinnati area so that their family can remain close to each other. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they face this battle once again. Sisters, fighting together! Ward Warriors!
