ABOUT THE KIDS RUN MIAMI VIRTUAL 5K
WHAT IS THE LIFE TIME KIDS RUN MIAMI VIRTUAL 5K?
It is a virtual 5K (3.1 Miles) event that can be completed anywhere! You may run or walk at your own pace anytime from January 10, 2021 to January 31, 2021.
WHEN CAN YOU COMPLETE THE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE?
You may complete the Virtual 5K anytime between January 10, 2021 to January 31, 2021. All results must be submitted by February 3, 2021.
IS THERE A SPECIFIC APP I NEED TO USE TO TRACK MY DISTANCES AND TIMES?
You may track your distances and times with any app, watch, or fitness device that you would like. We encourage parents to run with their kids and join in an active lifestyle together! We will provide more details on submitting your virtual 5K results closer to the event date.
CAN I USE A TREADMILL?
Yes, you may!
CAN I BREAK UP THE DISTANCE(S)?
Yes, you may!
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY FINISHER MEDAL?
We will begin mailing finisher kits to individual youth registrants starting 4-6 weeks after the virtual event ends to the address provided during registration.
Miami-Dade County schools signed up as a team will have their students’ medals delivered to their school 4-6 weeks after the virtual event ends.
All participants must submit results for the 5K before February 3, 2021 in order to receive the finisher medal.
WILL YOU SHIP FINISHER MEDALS INTERNATIONALLY?
At this time, we are only shipping Kids Run Miami Finisher Medals within the United States.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE TRAINING PROGRAM?
No, you do not need to register for the online training program or log miles for this portion. The program is a free, optional training plan crafted by Miami Marathon co-founder - Frankie Ruiz - to help prepare you for your best virtual experience in January. The program will be available on December 6, 2020.
CAN ANYONE REGISTER?
Yes, this event is open to everyone between the ages of 4 and 12.
CAN I COMPLETE THIS RUN WITH MY PARENTS?
Yes! And we encourage them to sign up for the #VirtuallyMiamiFamous Experience to receive a bib and medal too!
WHAT IF I'M OLDER THAN 12?

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT FAQS
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MY BIB?
Click here to visit your Profile. From there, you will see "View Digital Bib" on the right panel of your registration for this event. You must be logged into your RSU account to access this. You do not need to wear a bib during your run. Your bib will be available to download in January 2021.
HOW DO I RESEND MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL?
RunSignUp allows you to access your registration through your Profile. From there you can resend your confirmation email if you have misplaced it, or if you have not received it.
Note: If you did not receive your confirmation make sure to check your Spam/Clutter folders.
You will always be able to resend the registration confirmation for any registrations associated with your Profile (including any sub-accounts of yours) by following these steps:
- Sign In to RunSignUp
- Go to your Profile
- See your events under Upcoming Events
- Click Resend Confirmation next to the registration that you would like to resend the confirmation email.
- Check the email listed in your Profile for your registration confirmation
Click Resend Confirmation next to the registration that you would like to resend the registration confirmation.
At that point, the confirmation email will be sent to the email address associated with that registration. If the original confirmation message did not send because you had a typo in an email address, you will need to update this information as explained in How to Correct Typo/Modify Profile.
HOW DO I RESET MY RSU PASSWORD?
If you ever happen to forget your password, simply open up the “Login”, and click Forgot Password? At this point, you can enter in the email address you use to access your RunSignup account, and click on the button labeled Send Reset Password Link
After clicking the “Reset Password” button, you will receive an email with a unique link allowing you to reset the password for your RunSignUp account.

RESULT SUBMISSION FAQS
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESULTS?
Click here to visit your Profile. From there, you will see "Submit Virtual Results" and other options on the right panel of your registration for this event. You must be logged into your RSU account to access this. Miles must be logged within the challenge time frame (Jan. 10-31, 2021). You may track your distance with a number of different phone apps (Strava, Garmin Connect, etc.), your watch, or your favorite fitness device. We will provide specific instructions and more details closer to the event date.
DO I NEED TO SUBMIT PROOF OF MY MILES?
No, this virtual experience is based on the honor system. We will provide specific instructions and more details closer to the event date.
