Welcome to the Fall sessions of Learn to Run! for Red River Road Runner members. Members receive a $12 discount off the $27 registration fee. This discount is applied at checkout for those registered for membership on this site. If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2024 you will be prompted to do so at check out. Your registration fee ($15) can be applied to the upcoming Riverside V race. A code will be given to you at class. If you have any problems with registration, please contact two.stretch@yahoo.com
The “Learn to Run!” Advanced Level Program is 7 weeks of classes on Thursdays from September 12 to October 24, 2024 from 5:45-6:45 p.m. This class is designed to assist experienced runners improve their speed and endurance during the seven weeks. Suggested entry level is a base of 9 miles/week and the ability to run 2 miles without stopping or with minimal walk breaks. The first class will be held Thursday, September 12 at 5:45 p.m. at Walker Park by Brookshire Grocery Arena (Formerly known as Century Link) in Bossier City. Classes will be held at a variety of locations.
The “Learn to Run!” Beginner Level Program for runners and walkers is 8 weeks of classes on Mondays from September 16 to November 4, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This class is designed to prepare a beginning or returning runner or walker to complete a 5K at the end of eight weeks. The first class will be held Monday, September 16 @ 6 p.m. at Betty Virginia Park, 3901 Fairfield Ave, Shreveport, LA 71106 with training starting inside the park.
The graduation run for the classes is the Riverside V on Saturday, November 9 at 6 p.m. with the choices of two distances: 5K and 5 miles. This is the Red River Road Runner's signature race and is always a lot of fun!
