Dear Community Partner:
At Miggy's Gift we are committed to educating children and young adults on the dangers of skin cancer, the importance of prevention, and the urgency of early detection. We do this by visiting colleges, schools, afterschool programs, summer camps, and community health fairs. In addition, we provide financial and emotional support to families with a child or young adult struggling through a cancer journey. Lastly, we have an annual scholarship grant at Miami Dade College in memory of Stephen "Miggy' Chavez. In order to continue serving our community, we need your help.
We are pleased to announce our 6th annual Miggy's Gift Melanoma Walk November 17, 2024. The event will include a one mile educational walk throughout the park, attendance from several members of the dermatology community, including the Children's Skin Center and Baptist Health Cancer Care offering a free skin spot check. We will have music, food, silent auction, raffle prizes, games, a surprise performance, and much more. It truly is an opportunity for families to learn about the dangers of unprotected sun exposure, while enjoying a beautiful morning at the park.
In the past, attendance has been between 250-300 people. Each registered participant receives an event package including a shirt, bib, sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm. Please see below the different opportunities to become a sponsor.
Diamond Level Sponsor - $4,000.00
One promotional sign with your company logo and sponsorship level will appear at the START and FINISH lines of the walk. Your company logo will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event. Your company logo will appear in a Community Newspaper ad prior to the event. Your company logo will appear on the BIB given out to participants. Your company logo and sponsorship level will be announced on ALL social media posts leading up to the event.
Platinum Level Sponsor - $3,000.00
Two promotional signs with your company logo and sponsorship level will be placed along the 1.0 mile walk. Your company logo will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event. Your company logo will appear in a Community Newspaper ad prior to the event. Your company logo and sponsorship level will be announced on social media.
Gold Level Sponsor - $2,000.00
One promotional sign with your company logo and sponsorship level will be placed midpoint of the walk. Your company logo will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event. Your company logo and level will be announced on social media.
Silver Level Sponsor $1,000.00
One promotional sign with your company logo and sponsorship level will be place by the Snacks & Refreshment Tent Your company logo will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event. Your company logo and sponsorship level will be announced on social media.
Bronze Level Sponsor $500.00
Your company logo and sponsorship level will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event.. Your company logo will be announced on social media.
Pewter Level Sponsor - In Kind Donation or Service
Any company, retail store, restaurant, private business or individual person that provides an In Kind Donation for our silent auction with a value of less than $500, provides a free service during the planning period leading up to the event or provides a service during the event. Your company logo or name will appear on a "Thank You" banner placed at the event.
