EMPOWER RUN FAQ'S
What is a virtual run? A virtual run is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. At your own pace, you can run, roll, or stroll on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. Once you are done, you submit your results and share your virtual run photos with us on social media.
Why virtual? The LACLJ Virtual Empower Run gives you the freedom to safely run your own route on your own time all while being a part of a community supporting survivors.
When must I complete my run? For this event you must complete your run (whatever distance you signed up for) from February 25th – February 26th, anytime and anywhere.
How do I create a Group/Team? Participants are free to create a team during registration. You can join a team by searching for the name within the Groups/Teams tab.
Am I required to fundraise? While every registered participant will automatically have a fundraising page set up, you are not required to fundraise. However, we do encourage you to share your page with your friends and family and encourage them in joining you to make a difference in support of survivors.
What is RaceJoy? Race joy is an interactive app that will track you time via GPS. Check out more information HERE.
Is there a specific way to track our time? This virtual run, like most, are based on the honor system. We recommend tracking your time on the RaceJoy mobile app. You may also use an app on your phone, watch, or any fitness device of your choice and submit your results manually on the Results Page.
How do I submit my time? It's not required that you submit your time, but if you would like to appear in the online results as well as be able to access your finisher certificate, you will need to submit your time. If you use RaceJoy your results will automatically be submitted. You can also submit results by navigating to the Results Page, through the link HERE, search for your name and add your time.
How do I print my race bib? When you receive your Registration Confirmation...Go to the bottom and you will see “Don’t forget to check out the virtual bib for your registration! You can view it and download it here:”
How do I get my Finisher Certificate? From the online Results Link HERE
How should I expect to receive my t-shirt, finished medal and fundraising prizes? All merchandise will be mailed to the address used to register.
