Summer Bridge Training

This summer, we are excited to offer a FREE training plan to help everyone stay engaged over the hot summer months and to gradually enhance your endurance. Whether you're aiming to run the Mayfaire 5k and Summer Watermelon 5k Series or train for a 10k or a half marathon, this plan is adaptable to your current fitness level, starting from a 60-minute long run and progressing to 120 minutes. You don't have to be training for a specific race to benefit from this plan – it's designed to elevate your running experience, regardless of your goals.

In this program, I use the term running to refer to running, run/walking, jogging, fitness walking, or walking. When I use running and jogging in a workout, jogging is a pace that allows you to recover.

The plan has four, four-week cycles and includes cutback weeks. This is a training philosophy known as periodization. Periodization is the application of training blocks to cause physical and metabolic adaptations to improve performance.  

We strongly encourage you to join our free weekly group runs, fostering camaraderie and support within our running community.
