Race Day Packet Pick-Up

The La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon starts at Sylvan Beach and finishes at Five Points Plaza (100 S. Broadway, La Porte, TX 77571).

Please note: Race morning is hectic, and volunteers are limited. Picking up your packet on race day is not guaranteed, so arrive early. Preferably, collect your packet during scheduled advance pick-up times.

Be prepared to provide the exact name you registered under. You may pick up another participant's packet with their permission and registration name.

Schedule of Events

• 5:30 AM: Parking Opens
• 6:00 AM: Race Day Packet Pickup
• 7:30 AM: Race Start
• 8:45 AM: After Party Begins
• 10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

Parking

Parking is available at Sylvan Beach (start) and overflow parking is at the high school across the street. Parking near the finish line is limited. Note: Cars parked in the church lot across from Five Points Plaza will be towed. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

Timing Chip

Your timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib. Secure your bib to the front of your shirt using the provided pins. Do not bend or fold your bib. Replacement bibs on race day cost $10.

Course

Start at Sylvan Beach, traverse through Main St. and Five Points Town Plaza, then onto Highway 146 over the Fred Hartman Bridge. Turn around and head back for a scenic finish at Five Points Plaza. A detailed course description can be found HERE.

Bag Drop

Bag drop will be available at the start area. Volunteers will tag your bag with your bib number and transport it to the finish area for pickup.

Water Stations

Water and Lemon Lime Gatorade will be available at the start, finish, and every 2 miles along the course. Note: There are no water stations on the bridge.

Finish Line

After crossing the finish line, keep moving. Results will be posted onsite and on the official website. All finishers will receive a medal. Those completing the Texas Bridge Series will also receive their series award.

Post-Race Party

Celebrate your accomplishment with food, entertainment, and libations.
