SWIM
Distance Options: Participants can choose from three distances: 1500m, 500m, or 200m.
Course Layout: The course will begin with a 25m lap around the lighthouse, followed by a swim down the channel parallel to the shoreline. Swimmers must keep the shoreline on their left and buoys on their right.
Turnaround Points: There will be designated turnaround points marked by buoys. The first turnaround buoy will be for the super sprint distance (100m), followed by the sprint turnaround at 250m, and the final turnaround at the 750m buoy near the Casino Ferry dock.
Spectator Viewing: Friends, family, and spectators can easily watch the entire swim by walking along the shoreline, as swimmers will be close to the shoreline throughout the course.
Transition: After completing the swim, participants will follow the swim chute up into transition for the swim-to-bike transition.
Safety Measures:
Lifeguards: Lifeguards will be stationed on paddle boards and waverunners along the course to ensure the safety of all participants.
Wetsuit Requirement: The last few years wetsuits have been mandatory. The water in the lake is typically 5-6 degrees cooler than in the channel. You are only in the lake portion during the start and finish. Typical temperatures for the swim the last few years have been 65 degrees.

WETSUIT RENTAL
For those in need of a wetsuit, rentals are available for $50, including full, sleeveless, or shorty options.
To ensure your wetsuit is pulled at the warehouse and brought to the event. Please make your reservation on or before the Tuesday before the event. This can be done at our online store at the above link. Your reservation is held with a $10 non-refundable deposit which does apply to the total cost of your wetsuit rental. The remainder is paid upon pickup of your wetsuit at the event. ($40 cash ONLY)
AQUABIKE: You will start with your specific swim wave. Check the information cube at the event for wave start information.
You will complete the Swim and Bike disciplines of the event. Following your Bike discipline, you will dismount your bike, cross the Bike In timing mats and place your bike back at your spot on the rack in the Transition Area. You will then proceed across the Run Out timing mats and you are done! Your finish time will be when you cross the timing mats at that point.
DO NOT re-enter the transition area through Run In/Out or Bike In/Out. This will cause a timing error.
