5K runners and walkers have 1 hours and 30 minutes to complete the distances.
Yes if they bring 2 things with them. A copy of your ID (this can be a photo on their phone) and the waiver, signed by you, printed on a piece of paper. Download and print the waiver here

Same-day race registration is available but the price goes up if you wait.
You can pay with cash in person or with a credit card on the event page on RunSignUp from your phone up until the race starts
Yes, you may leave personal items with staff at the registration tent. Please bring your own bag.
Every participant will proudly claim a finisher's medal ad event shirt.
Shirts are available in men’s and women’s cuts.
There will be food and beverages available at the finish line and at an aid station on the course and free downloadable photos from a professional photographer on our website within 24 hours of the end of the event.
Please go to https://requestmyrefund.com/regshield/refund to file a claim and request a refund. Insurance is handled by a third party and the event management team is not able to file your claim for you or impact the decision on your claim. You must purchase insurance during registration. Insurance will come as part of a second confirmation email, it will not be noted on the event confirmation email.
There are no transfers but you can deffer your registration to next year at no cost until 10 days before the event.
Yes, there will be water and electrolyte drinks at the finish along with bananas, protein bars and other goodies.
Yes. We will be using computer chip timing.
There will be a lot of walkers, often half the participants are walking. We welcome and celebrate all participants at every pace.
1st place in each of 18 age groups will receive an age group champion shirt made by ALWRLD. These shirts are made of Recycled polyester, produced by taking landfill and ocean-bound PET plastic (water bottles) and breaking them down into small chips that are heated and spun into yarn. Recycled polyester uses up to 50% less energy consumption and significantly less water to produce than virgin polyester.

Absolutely! We love volunteers! As a thank you, you'll enjoy delicious snacks and be part of the action and excitement of working a race, and earn a free entry into any upcoming Mercury Events 5k of your choice.
Although there is no "standard" age at which a runner should get involved in the sport of running, we recommend runners be at least 6 years old for the 5K. Ultimately, it is up to each parent or guardian to adjust our recommended age, higher or lower, depending upon their dependent's ability to participate in our event. You know your children, we trust your judgement and that of the medical professionals you consult.
The 1K is for youth 10 and under.
Absolutely! We get A LOT of first timers at our events. There is a significant hill in the second half so be prepared for that!
We do discounts for teams of 10 or more and for youth groups of various sizes. Contact us if you have a large group.
There will be an aid station at the half way point.
