Description
Bay State Race Services presents the Ditto Towns Challenge. There are many towns throughout New England that have a namesake in two or more states. Your journey will begin in one town then end in another town of the same name in a different state. As we head deeper into the "ber" months It becomes increasingly difficult to stay motivated to keep active. We want to help motivate you to keep moving. There are five virtual journeys for you to choose from with varying distances from 73 miles, all the way up to 584 miles (all distances are best approximations using google maps). Choose the ditto towns that appeal to you and will also challenge you to keep moving throughout the remainder of 2020. Registration will remain open until December 1st. Anyone can register to join us anytime until then.
The duration to complete all challenge distances will be 75 days beginning on October 18th until December 31st.
We’ve added some exciting new features to this challenge. We’ve got map tracking, milestone badges, and participant up-loadable photo albums.
"Double dipping" is allowed. If you're already participating in a virtual run those same miles can be used and logged here.
Complete your mileage as you see fit by walking, hiking, or running either on a treadmill, on the trails, or on the street. You do not have to walk, hike, or run every day, you just have to finish the total distance allocated to your challenge distance.
All Participants will receive an official Ditto Towns Challenge custom fleece ear warmer headband.
Please see the instructions within the Results information section on how to submit and track your progress. As you upload your mileage every day you'll see your little marker move along the map.

Scituate, RI to Scituate, MA - 73 miles (~ .98 miles/day)
Windham, CT to Windham, NH - 108 miles (~ 1.44 miles/day)
Exeter, NH to Exeter, RI - 138 miles (~ 1.84 miles/day)
Barre, MA to Barre, VT - 156 miles (~ 2.08 miles/day)
Newport, VT to Newport, ME - 204 miles (~ 2.72 miles/day)
Warren, RI, MA, CT, VT, NH, ME - 584 miles (~ 7.79 miles/day)
- Warren is the only town that exists in all six New England states.

- Each time someone signs up through your link, you'll accrue one referral.
- Earn five referrals and get $10 credited back to you. Easy right?!?!
Map Tracking
As you travel along your chosen road trip course and submit your miles your position will be marked on the course map.
There's a link on your Individual Results Page, towards the bottom of the page is a View Progress on Map button that will display the course map and where you are virtually on the map.
From your Individual Results Page you can add a friend(s) to the map and compare your progress with theirs. Just type their name into the search bar.

Milestone Badges
